Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly analytical and business-focused Business Metrics & Insights Analyst to support operational performance, strategic decision-making, and client outcomes within a US Health Benefit Administration environment. This role will partner closely with Operations, Client Management, Finance, Workforce Management, and Leadership teams to deliver actionable insights through data analysis, reporting, trend identification, and performance storytelling.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in operational analytics, KPI management, dashboard reporting, and executive-level business insights within healthcare administration, benefits operations, BPO, or shared services environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Performance & Insights
- Analyze operational, financial, and client performance data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Develop actionable insights to support leadership decision-making and operational excellence initiatives.
- Translate large datasets into meaningful business narratives and executive summaries.
- Monitor key operational metrics including SLA performance, productivity, quality, utilization, turnaround time, backlog, and customer experience.
- Perform root cause analysis for operational variances and recommend corrective actions.
Reporting & Dashboard Management
- Create and maintain operational dashboards, scorecards, and KPI reports for leadership and client governance.
- Automate recurring reports and improve reporting efficiency through BI and visualization tools.
- Ensure accuracy, integrity, and consistency of business reporting across functions.
- Deliver daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews with insights and recommendations.
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with Operations leaders, Finance, WFM, Quality, and Client teams to understand business requirements and reporting needs.
- Support executive leadership with strategic analytics and ad hoc business analysis.
- Participate in client reviews and governance discussions where performance analytics are required.
- Influence operational teams through data-driven recommendations.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify process improvement opportunities through trend analysis and operational metrics.
- Support initiatives related to productivity improvement, cost optimization, and service excellence.
- Assist in developing forecasting and capacity planning models.
- Contribute to data governance, reporting standardization, and analytics maturity initiatives.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Healthcare Administration, or related discipline.
- 4–7 years of experience in business analytics, operational reporting, business intelligence, or metrics management.
- Experience within US Healthcare, Health Benefits Administration, Insurance Operations, BPO, or Shared Services environments preferred.
- Strong understanding of operational KPIs, performance management, and business analytics.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including Pivot Tables, Power Query, Lookup Functions, and data analysis techniques.
- Hands-on experience with BI and visualization tools such as Power BI, Qlik, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Experience working with large datasets and reporting automation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to engage senior stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
