About the Role

AGS is building its AI Engineering team from the ground up, and we are looking for a Lead AI Solutions Engineer to anchor technical delivery in India.

In this role, you will drive architecture implementation, guide engineers, and deliver production‑ready AI capabilities. This is a hands‑on technical leadership position—ideal for someone who wants to lead without moving into people management.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

• Own day‑to‑day technical decisions for the India engineering team
• Lead design/architecture for agents, automations, and foundation AI services
• Define patterns, standards, and reusable reference implementations
• Make build‑vs‑buy and technology selection recommendations

Hands‑On Engineering

• Build intelligent agents, conversational interfaces, and agentic workflows
• Develop reusable AI capabilities exposed via REST APIs and MCP servers
• Integrate AI systems with enterprise platforms
• Troubleshoot complex issues across the full stack

Team Development

• Mentor engineers through coaching, pairing, and code reviews
• Conduct technical interviews and support hiring
• Set and uphold engineering quality standards

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Translate business needs into technical solutions
• Communicate estimates, risks, and trade-offs
• Partner closely with QA, Analysts, and cross‑functional teams

Qualifications

Required

• 5–8 years of software engineering experience with technical leadership
• Strong fundamentals in Python and/or TypeScript
• Experience building AI/ML applications or intelligent automation
• Strong understanding of APIs, integrations, and cloud platforms
• Proven mentorship and team‑uplift capability

Preferred

• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform
• Exposure to Azure AI, OpenAI APIs, LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering
• Background in HR Tech, staffing, or workforce platforms
• Experience delivering in distributed Agile teams
