Key Responsibilities Platform Ownership: Direct and evolve the entire Adobe Commerce stack (v2.4.x+), delivering outstanding reliability and security for large-scale deployments. Code Excellence: Spearhead modernization - refactor codebases, eradicate legacy anti-patterns, and set new benchmarks for code quality and maintainability. Module Governance: Strategically audit and streamline third-party extensions to optimize integrations and reduce technical debt. Performance Tuning: Utilize APM tools (Platform.sh, New Relic, Magento Profiler, Blackfire) for deep analysis; drive improvements across caching (Redis, Varnish), indexing, and backend processes. Security & Compliance: Champion robust defensive programming practices to secure data, manage patches, and ensure a hardened application landscape. Collaboration: Forge strong partnerships with DevOps, AWS, QA, and Frontend teams- ensuring seamless cross-functional performance and delivery. Mentorship: Guide engineers on modular thinking, upgrade-safe customizations, and cutting-edge extension development. Documentation & Review: Establish rigorous documentation standards and lead code reviews to foster a culture of excellence. ? Desired Skills & Expertise Expertise: Deep knowledge of Magento (2.4.x+), PHP 8, Composer, EAV, and Service Contracts; adept in cloud deployment pipelines and multi-region configurations. Performance: Proven experience optimizing high-load platforms and solving complex bottlenecks. Leadership: History of mentoring developer teams, driving technical decisions, and ensuring upgrade-safe, future-ready solutions. Integration: Familiarity with ERP/CRM integrations, Adobe Commerce Cloud, and custom business system connectivity. Governance: Mastery of code quality standards (PSR-12), Git workflows, and secure coding techniques. Certification: Adobe Certified Master Architect or Developer Plus is a strong advantage. ?
