JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lab Technician to join our team. The ideal 

candidate will be responsible for performing plant tissue culture like operations, maintaining 

aseptic conditions, and supporting related lab activities in our laboratory.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Duties:

• Perform plant tissue culture like operations like sub-culturing, and multiplication 

• Prepare culture media according to standard protocols

• Maintain aseptic conditions in the laminar flow hood and culture room

• Monitor and record growth and development of cultures

• Maintain culture room conditions (temperature, humidity, light cycles)

• Sterilize glassware, instruments, and culture room equipment

• Label and organize culture bottles/containers properly

• Identify and remove contaminated cultures

Additional Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the laboratory and culture room

• Record daily work in logbooks/registers

• Follow safety protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs)

• Report any issues or abnormalities to supervisors

• Assist in inventory management of media ingredients and consumables

• Support team members in routine laboratory activities

• Data and record maintenance besides QC of the finished product

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Educational Qualification:

• Minimum: 12th Pass (Higher Secondary Certificate)

• Preferred: B.Sc. in Agriculture / Botany / Biotechnology / Life Sciences (if 

available)

Experience:

• Mandatory: Previous experience in plant tissue culture work

• Minimum: 2-3 years of hands-on experience in tissue culture laboratory

• Experience should include:

o Working with laminar flow hood

o Media preparation

o Aseptic techniques

o Sub-culturing operations

o Culture maintenance

REQUIRED SKILLS

Technical Skills:

• Aseptic Techniques: Proficiency in sterile handling procedures

• Media Preparation: Knowledge of preparing MS media and other culture media

• Culture Operations: Experience in explant preparation, inoculation, sub-culturing

• Equipment Operation: Handling of autoclave, laminar flow hood, pH meter, 

weighing balance

• Contamination Control: Ability to identify and manage contamination

• Culture Maintenance: Understanding of culture room environment control

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Work Environment: Laboratory and controlled culture room environment

• Working Hours: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM, 6 days a week OR as per company policy

• Physical Requirements:

o Accommodation at Palwal facility shall be provided on twin sharing basis

o Good vision for detailed work

o Self-cooking is essential

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Monthly Salary: ₹20,000 

• Additional Benefits: Health insurance, PF

• Probation Period: 6 months

• Annual Increment: Performance base
