Role Description The Lab Instructor role is a full-time, on-site position based at KASHI INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY in Varanasi. The Lab Instructor will oversee laboratory sessions, guide students in performing experiments, and ensure safe and proper use of equipment and materials. Responsibilities include preparing lab materials, setting up and dismantling experiments, maintaining laboratory inventory, and keeping equipment in good working order. The role involves demonstrating procedures, clarifying theoretical concepts through practical applications, and supporting students in recording and analyzing data. The Lab Instructor will collaborate with faculty to align lab activities with the curriculum, assist in assessments related to lab work, and maintain accurate records of attendance, performance, and lab usage.
Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Laboratory Skills, including handling instruments, conducting experiments, and following safety protocols.
  • Candidates should possess effective Teaching and Education-related skills to guide students, explain concepts clearly, and support diverse learning needs.
  • Candidates should possess Curriculum Development skills to help design, improve, and align lab exercises with academic program requirements.
  • Candidates should possess solid Communication skills for interacting with students, faculty, and staff, and for documenting procedures and results.
  • Relevant academic qualification in a science or engineering discipline (e.g., diploma, bachelor’s degree) from a recognized institution.
  • Prior experience in laboratory instruction or academic labs is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with laboratory safety standards and regulatory guidelines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, manage time effectively, and support a student-centered learning environment.
