Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced L2 Firewall Engineer specializing in Checkpoint (MZ) Firewall environments. This role involves advanced configuration, optimization, and management of firewall and IPS systems to ensure a secure and resilient network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced configuration and management of Checkpoint Firewall
  • Conduct IPS tuning and policy optimization
  • Handle incident response and perform root cause analysis
  • Ensure security compliance and adherence to best practices
  • Support and optimize DDoS mitigation solutions
  • Provide L2 support and collaborate with L1/L3 teams
  • Maintain detailed documentation and reporting

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong hands-on experience with Checkpoint Firewall & IPS
  • Deep understanding of network security concepts and architecture
  • Experience in incident handling and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of DDoS detection and mitigation techniques
  • Familiarity with security compliance standards
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a high-availability 24/7 environment

Certifications (Mandatory – Any 2 Required)

  • CEH / CCNA / CCNP Security
  • Checkpoint Certifications (e.g., CCSA / CCSE)
  • Anti-DDoS solution certification
