Job description: Job Description Job Summary We?re looking for a Java Developer who also has strong hands-on experience with Kotlin. The role involves building backend services, writing clean and scalable code and contributing to architecture decisions across microservices and APIs. Key Responsibilities ? Design and develop backend services using Java and Kotlin. ? Build RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external systems. ? Write clean, testable and maintainable code following best practices. ? Work with microservices architecture, messaging systems and distributed design patterns. ? Optimize application performance and troubleshoot production issues. ? Collaborate with DevOps and QA teams to ensure smooth deployments and stable releases. ? Participate in code reviews, design discussions and sprint activities. ? Maintain documentation for services, APIs and technical workflows. Required Skills ? Strong hands-on experience in Java (Java 8 or above). ? Practical working experience with Kotlin in production environments. ? Solid understanding of Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data and related frameworks. ? Experience with REST APIs, JSON, authentication and security basics. ? Good understanding of microservices, event driven design and messaging tools like Kafka or RabbitMQ. ? Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL or Oracle. ? Familiarity with Git, CI/CD workflows and containerization using Docker. ? Strong debugging and problem solving skills. Good to Have ? Experience with reactive programming (Reactor, Coroutines). ? Familiarity with Kubernetes, cloud environments or serverless setups. ? Experience with testing frameworks like JUnit, Mockito or Kotest. ? Exposure to performance tuning.
