Job Description
About AstraZeneca
AstraZeneca is a global, science-led, patient-focused biopharmaceutical company that concentrates on the discovery, development and commercialization of prescription medicines addressing some of the planet’s most serious diseases. But we’re more than one of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies.
Introduction To Role
Step into a pivotal Key Accounts Manager role in Delhi, where impact goes beyond a single territory. This position mentors others, shapes regional performance and introduces standard processes across teams. Consistently high standards are encouraged, with a focus on advancing oncology care while delivering strong commercial results. Ready to influence approaches to cancer therapy across your region?
Accountabilities
Own the way in building deep, science-led relationships with oncology healthcare professionals, ensuring appropriate on-label use of our medicines. Optimally complete all training requirements, including product examinations, and apply this knowledge in every interaction. Engage in significant dialogue on approved indications and product efficacy and safety profiles, supporting informed prescribing decisions for the right patients.
Partner with the Sales Manager to develop and complete a robust local strategy and business plan that meets or exceeds sales and call execution goals in the territory. Drive sales performance with clear ownership of forecasts and budgets, ensuring they meet or surpass therapeutic and territory expectations. Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of market dynamics, demographics and managed markets information relevant to the assigned territory, using these insights to find opportunities and remove barriers.
Champion compliant ways of working at all times, adhering to all regulations governing interactions with healthcare professionals and the distribution of samples. Act as a mentor to colleagues, sharing guidelines, coaching others to raise performance standards and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement. Take personal accountability for results while collaborating across functions to build the cancer care environment and support improved patient experiences.
Essential Skills/Experience
AstraZeneca offers the chance to work at the forefront of oncology, powered by a game-changing pipeline and close partnership with world-class research. Here, commercial excellence directly supports the ambition to transform cancer care, with access to innovative medicines, new indications and cutting-edge data and technology. Teams are encouraged to speak up, challenge established thinking and try new approaches, all while staying focused on real outcomes for patients and society. With a fast-growing oncology portfolio, global reach and a culture that values learning, accountability and collaboration, this is a place to build a meaningful career while helping redefine how cancer is treated.
