We are seeking a highly strategic and relationship-driven Key Account Manager (KAM) – Automotive to oversee and grow our most valuable client partnerships within the automotive ecosystem. In this role, you will act as the primary liaison between our organization and major automotive stakeholders, including Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), Tier-1 suppliers, large fleet operators, and key dealership networks.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of automotive supply chains, engineering and purchasing cycles, and emerging industry trends (such as electric vehicles, connected mobility, and digital transformation). Your primary mission will be to maintain high client satisfaction, secure long-term contract renewals, and identify strategic opportunities for revenue expansion.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary, high-touch point of contact for assigned key automotive accounts (OEMs, Tier-1s, or Fleet owners).
  • Build, nurture, and map long-term relationships across multiple client departments, including Procurement, Engineering, R&D, Quality, and Senior C-suite Leadership.
  • Conduct regular strategic business reviews (QBRs) to align our product/service roadmaps with the client’s long-term production and vehicle lifecycle goals.

2. Business Development & Revenue Growth

  • Lead the response process for complex RFQs (Requests for Quotes), commercial negotiations, and pricing agreements.
  • Identify, pitch, and secure upselling and cross-selling opportunities by matching our evolving technical capabilities with the client's engineering and design needs.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive account growth strategies to meet or exceed annual revenue, margin, and market-share targets.

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Delivery

  • Collaborate closely with internal Engineering, Product Development, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain teams to ensure client requests and product deliveries meet stringent automotive standards.
  • Champion the "Voice of the Customer" internally to ensure that product timelines align with client vehicle launch dates (SOP - Start of Production).
  • Quickly resolve high-level commercial, technical, or logistical escalations to preserve account trust and goodwill.

4. Market Intelligence & Forecasting

  • Monitor and analyze automotive market trends, competitor movements, regulatory shifts, and technological shifts (e.g., electrification, ADAS).
  • Provide accurate demand forecasting and sales pipelines for assigned accounts to assist internal production planning and capacity management.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Automotive Industry Acumen: Strong knowledge of the automotive ecosystem, vehicle development processes, and B2B purchasing behaviors.
  • Commercial & Negotiation Excellence: Proven track record of managing multi-million dollar contracts and navigating complex, long-cycle OEM procurement frameworks.
  • Technical Aptitude: Ability to comfortably discuss technical specifications, engineering constraints, or software requirements with automotive engineers.
  • Relationship Mapping: Exceptional interpersonal skills with a natural ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers at all levels.
  • Project Management: Skilled at managing multiple high-priority timelines simultaneously without compromising quality or delivery schedules.
