Juniper Network Engineer

Description : Juniper Network Engineer Role : Juniper Network Engineer Experience : 7+ years Location : Objective : We are looking for a seasoned L3 Network Engineer with strong expertise in Juniper routing/switching and Fortinet firewall technologies to join our Managed Services team. This role focuses on providing advanced support, troubleshooting complex network issues, and ensuring the stability and performance of client environments. Key Responsibilities Provide L3-level support for Juniper and Fortinet-based network infrastructures in managed service environments. Troubleshoot and resolve complex network incidents, performance issues, and configuration errors. Manage and maintain Juniper routers/switches and Fortinet firewalls across multiple client environments. Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions to recurring issues. Collaborate with L1/L2 teams to escalate and resolve critical incidents. Monitor network health using tools and dashboards; respond to alerts and outages. Apply configuration changes, firmware upgrades, and security patches as needed. Maintain accurate documentation of network topologies, configurations, and support procedures. Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as required. Certifications Required Experience & Qualifications : JNCIA - Junos (Juniper Networks Certified Associate Routing & Switching). NSE 4 (Fortinet Network Security Expert Level 4) certification. Technical Skills Strong hands-on experience with Juniper routing/switching (OSPF, BGP, VLANs, etc. Proficient in Fortinet firewall configuration, policy management, and troubleshooting. Familiarity with enterprise network monitoring and ticketing tools (e.g., SolarWinds, ServiceNow). Understanding of network security principles and best practices. Experience 5+ years in a network support or operations role, preferably in a Managed Services or MSP environment. Proven experience handling escalated network issues and working in SLA-driven environments. Preferred Qualifications Higher-level Juniper or Fortinet certifications (e.g., JNCIP, NSE 5/6). Experience with SD-WAN, VPNs, and remote access solutions. Exposure to automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Python scripting) is a plus (ref:hirist.tech)
