Juniper Network Engineer

NO (Sponsorship, H1B, F1, OPT, C2C)

Location: Cincinnati, OH 45202 Onsite 5 Days a week

6 Month Contract with multiple Renewals

Pay: $40.00 - $60.00/hr W-2

CBTS is searching for a Juniper Network Engineer responsible for designing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Juniper-based network infrastructures. This includes routing, switching, network security, and overall performance optimization. These engineers work with Juniper platforms such as MX, EX, QFX, SRX, and PTX, and ensure high availability and reliability across LAN/WAN environments.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure communication across network architecture is uninterrupted and meets performance requirements.
• Analyze, design, configure, and resolve issues across routing, switching, and network applications.
• Install, configure, test, and monitor network security protocols and routing policies (e.g., TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP).
• Document network performance, perform cause analysis, and recommend improvements.
• Manage and maintain network devices across corporate environments.
• Develop and maintain detailed documentation, configuration standards, and inventory of network equipment.
• Support enterprise infrastructure across multiple sites and collaborate with internal stakeholders.
• Participate in production deployments, changes, and testing scenarios (bench testing, hardware in loop labs).
• Create, manage, and troubleshoot firewall rule sets (Juniper SRX, Palo Alto, etc.).
• Support IPSec VPNs, multi-site connectivity, cloud integration, and network monitoring.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, networking, or related field.

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a network engineer.

• Strong understanding of Juniper devices, routing, switching, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, OSPF, VPN, IPSec, QoS, NAT, ACLs.

• Ability to design network systems, enforce configuration standards, and maintain high availability structures.

• Experience working independently and collaboratively with engineering and IT operations teams.

• Experience with virtualization and integration with VMware (preferred).

Tools & Technologies:

• Juniper Platforms: MX, EX, QFX, SRX, PTX

• Routing/Security: BGP, OSPF, MPLS, IPSec VPN, firewall configuration

• Automation/Monitoring: Ansible, Python, network diagnostic tools

• Other Vendors (common cross skills): Palo Alto, Aruba, Extreme
