Junior Network Engineer

Job Description

Role Description We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer with strong experience in routing, switching, and firewall management within complex enterprise or carrier-grade environments. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of network design, implementation, and security best practices, particularly in PCI/PII-regulated infrastructures. Key Responsibilities Design, configure, and maintain routing and switching infrastructure using Juniper and Cisco platforms. Implement and manage BGP and other routing protocols to ensure optimal network performance and reliability. Configure, deploy, and maintain Juniper SRX firewalls, including policy creation for secure network segmentation and compliance. Manage and optimize F5 load balancers, ensuring high availability and efficient traffic distribution. Support network strategy, design, and implementation initiatives aligned with business and security requirements. Maintain and enhance LAN/WAN infrastructure and ensure adherence to best practices for network segmentation. Build and manage firewall policies for PCI/PII environments to meet regulatory and compliance standards. Operate within carrier-grade network environments, ensuring performance, scalability, and redundancy. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support DevOps practices for continuous integration and delivery. Produce clear technical documentation and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels. Qualifications Technical Expertise: Routing & Switching: Juniper, Cisco, Arista Routing Protocols: BGP Firewalls: Juniper SRX Load Balancing: F5 Strong understanding of: WAN/LAN technologies, network segmentation, and network security principles. Proven experience designing and maintaining secure, compliant environments (PCI/PII). Exposure to carrier-grade network operations and DevOps methodologies.
