About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior DevOps Engineer to join our technology team in a fully remote environment. In this role, you will support the automation, deployment, and monitoring of applications and infrastructure while learning modern DevOps tools and practices. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the beginning of their DevOps career who is eager to learn and grow while collaborating with distributed teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
- Support cloud infrastructure setup and monitoring on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Help automate routine operational tasks using scripts and DevOps tools.
- Monitor system performance, uptime, and application health.
- Work closely with developers in a remote environment to ensure smooth code deployment and releases.
- Assist in managing containers and deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Document processes, configurations, and DevOps best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of experience in DevOps, cloud, or system administration (internships/projects acceptable).
- Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix systems.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Understanding of containerization concepts (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of Git and version control workflows.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate effectively in remote teams.
Preferred / Good-to-Have
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
- Basic understanding of networking and security fundamentals.
- Exposure to Agile or DevOps workflows.
