Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Automation Tester with 1+ years of

professional experience to join our Quality Assurance team. In this role, you will play a crucial

part in ensuring the reliability, performance, and functionality of our web applications.

You will be responsible for building and maintaining automated test suites, identifying software

defects, and working closely with the development team to deliver high-quality software. The

ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with the Selenium framework and a solid

understanding of both frontend and backend testing methodologies.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Test Automation: Design, write, and execute automated test scripts for web applications using the Selenium framework.
• Frontend & UI Testing: Validate user interfaces for functionality, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility to ensure a seamless user experience.
• Backend Testing: Perform API testing to verify data integrity, security, and server-side logic functionality.
• Stress & Performance Testing: Design and execute stress tests to evaluate how the application behaves under heavy user loads and identify potential bottlenecks.
• Defect Management: Identify, document, and track bugs using issue-tracking tools (e.g., Jira), and verify fixes once deployed.
• Collaboration: Work closely with software engineers, product managers, and manual testers to understand feature requirements and establish comprehensive test coverage.
• Maintenance: Continuously update and optimize existing automated test scripts to accommodate new features and changes in the UI.

Technical Stack & Requirements

Core Requirements

• Experience: 1+ years of proven hands-on experience in software testing and test automation.
• Automation Frameworks: Strong proficiency in building and maintaining test suites using Selenium WebDriver.
• Testing Methodologies: Comprehensive understanding of the software testing life cycle (STLC), including UI testing, backend testing, and stress testing.

Technical Skills

• Programming Languages: Proficiency in at least one language commonly used with Selenium (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#).
• API Tools: Experience using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or SoapUI for backend and RESTful API testing.
• Performance Tools: Familiarity with stress and load testing tools such as Apache JMeter, K6, or Gatling.
• Version Control: Basic understanding of Git and collaborative workflows (GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket).
• Web Technologies: Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, DOM structure, and web locators (XPath, CSS Selectors) required for effective UI automation.

Bonus Skills (Good to Have)

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and integrating automated tests into the deployment process.
• Experience with behavior-driven development (BDD) frameworks like Cucumber.
• Basic knowledge of SQL for database validation during backend testing.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
