Junior Accountant ? US Accounting (Work from Office, Kolkata) Location: Kolkata, India Work Mode: Full-time, Work from Office Experience: 1?3 years Compensation: ?5?8 LPA (depending on experience and skills) About the Role We are looking for a motivated Junior Accountant to join the accounting and bookkeeping team supporting US-based clients. In this role, you?ll handle day-to-day accounting operations, reconciliations, and reporting while working closely with both the India and US teams. This is a great opportunity to gain exposure to international accounting practices, learn advanced tools like QuickBooks Online, and build a strong foundation in financial operations with a fast-growing global accounting firm. Key Responsibilities Manage daily bookkeeping and general accounting operations for assigned clients. Handle Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and bank reconciliations. Prepare and maintain balance sheet schedules and general ledger reconciliations. Support month-end and year-end closing activities. Assist in analyzing and reconciling client accounts; research and resolve discrepancies. Collaborate with senior accountants to streamline processes and improve accuracy. Communicate clearly with team members in India and the US to ensure timely deliverables. Contribute ideas for improving accounting workflows and efficiency. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor?s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce. 1?3 years of experience in accounting, financial operations, or auditing. Strong understanding of general accounting principles (GAAP). Proficient in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, basic formulas). Power Query is a plus. Working knowledge of QuickBooks (Online or Desktop) preferred, but not mandatory. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. High attention to detail and accuracy with strong analytical skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
