Job Title: Junior Accounts Executive (Shipping Background)

Job Summary

We are looking for a Junior Accounts Executive with experience in the shipping or logistics industry to support daily accounting operations, billing processes, and financial documentation related to shipping activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and process invoices, debit notes, and credit notes related to freight and logistics services.
• Maintain and update accounts receivable and payable records.
• Coordinate with the operations and documentation team for shipment-related billing.
• Reconcile vendor statements, shipping line invoices, and transport bills.
• Assist in bank reconciliation and ledger maintenance.
• Track payments from clients and follow up for outstanding dues.
• Maintain proper records of shipping documents and financial transactions.
• Assist senior accounts staff in monthly closing and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
• Familiarity with shipping/logistics billing processes.
• Knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software (Tally or similar).
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work accurately and meet deadlines.

Educational Qualification

• B.Com / M.Com / Accounts-related qualification preferred.

Preferred Candidate

• Candidate with prior experience in shipping, freight forwarding, or logistics companies will be preferred.
