Role Overview

  • We are looking for an experienced Jewelry Quality Control & International Partner Coordinator to work closely with Tierra’s internal team and selected international production partners.
  • This role will be responsible for inspecting jewelry products, identifying quality issues, communicating improvement requirements, and following up until the products meet Tierra’s quality standards.
  • The position is ideal for a candidate who has strong hands-on experience in jewelry quality control, understands fine jewelry production, communicates confidently in English, and wants to develop further in an international working environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect physical jewelry products according to 3D drawings, approved samples, product specifications, and Tierra’s quality standards.
  • Evaluate key finishing details, including design accuracy, dimensions, structure, symmetry, surface finishing, stone setting, polishing, plating, and overall craftsmanship.
  • Identify, record, and classify product defects; prepare clear QC reports with photos, videos, measurements, and technical comments.
  • Communicate directly in English with international production partners regarding quality issues, improvement requirements, and corrective actions.
  • Follow up on product adjustments, sample revisions, defect corrections, and quality approval timelines.
  • Coordinate with internal teams such as Product, Design, Merchandising, Operations, and Purchasing to align on quality requirements and product standards.
  • Develop and update QC checklists, acceptance standards, defect libraries, and quality feedback processes.
  • Support the evaluation of production partner capabilities and recommend process improvements to reduce recurring defects.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in jewelry QC/QA, preferably in fine jewelry, diamond jewelry, gold jewelry, or high-precision jewelry products.
  • Strong understanding of jewelry manufacturing processes, including CAD interpretation, sampling, casting, stone setting, polishing, plating, finishing, and final inspection.
  • Ability to identify both technical and aesthetic defects in jewelry products.
  • Good understanding of quality standards for fine jewelry, including finishing quality, stone setting quality, product durability, dimensional accuracy, and overall appearance.
  • Fluent or highly proficient in English, with the ability to communicate clearly through email, online meetings, QC reports, and direct discussions.
  • Strong reporting skills, with the ability to prepare clear QC documentation using photos, videos, measurements, and structured comments.
  • Good project coordination skills, with the ability to track multiple samples, products, quality issues, and timelines at the same time.
  • Proficient in Excel, Google Sheets, and basic office tools.
  • Willing to travel domestically and internationally when required.
  • Detail-oriented, disciplined, practical, and committed to high quality standards.
  • Professional, proactive, and confident when working with different teams and external partners.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with international jewelry brands, export-oriented manufacturers, or global production partners.
  • Previous experience in Supplier Quality, Vendor Quality, Production QC, Product QC, QA/QC, or Jewelry Merchandising.
  • Ability to read technical drawings or jewelry CAD files.
  • Experience building QC checklists, defect libraries, inspection standards, or product acceptance criteria.
  • Knowledge of diamonds, gemstones, stone setting standards, and fine jewelry finishing requirements.
  • Experience coordinating with overseas clients, buyers, or brand teams.
  • Strong interest in developing an international career in jewelry quality management, product development, or supplier quality.
