Job Description

About the Role We are looking for an experienced Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in QTP/UFT , Java , Selenium WebDriver , API testing , and modern automation frameworks. The candidate will design automated test solutions, execute test scripts, support Agile teams, and ensure high-quality delivery across web and enterprise applications. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using QTP/UFT . Create and maintain automation scripts in Java using Selenium WebDriver . Collaborate with development, QA, and business teams to define test requirements. Perform functional, regression, and performance testing as required. Develop and maintain BDD frameworks (Cucumber) and follow automation best practices. Execute API test cases using tools like Postman or RestAssured. Analyze test results, identify defects, provide detailed defect reports using ALM/Quality Center or similar tools. Maintain complete test documentation , ensuring compliance with quality standards. Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (Daily Scrum, Sprint Planning, Retrospective). Continuously improve automation coverage and optimize test frameworks. Required Technical Skills Automation Tools QTP/UFT automation Selenium WebDriver automation Programming & Scripting Strong knowledge of Java Experience with VBScript (for UFT) Frameworks JUnit / TestNG BDD Frameworks ? Cucumber Data-Driven, Keyword-Driven, Hybrid frameworks API Testing REST API testing using Postman / RestAssured Testing Knowledge Functional Testing Regression Testing Performance Testing (basic understanding) Strong understanding of testing methodologies & Agile practices Tools Test Management Tools: ALM / Quality Center Defect Tracking Tools: Jira / ALM Version control tools (Git is a plus) Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Good communication and documentation skills Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams
