Java Software Engineer

Agility Partners is seeking a Senior Java Developer to support a large‑scale IBM FileNet consolidation initiative with a leading financial services organization. This role focuses on building custom Java migration and integration solutions to modernize enterprise content management systems in a highly regulated environment.

This is a hands‑on, migration‑heavy role with ownership from design through production support, offering the opportunity to work on complex enterprise systems at scale.

What You’ll Do

• Design and implement Java‑based solutions to migrate content, metadata, workflows, lifecycle states, and audit history between FileNet environments
• Recreate and validate FileNet Process Engine workflows, ensuring routing, participants, triggers, and exception handling function correctly post‑migration
• Preserve and validate versioned documents, security classifications, retention policies, and data integrity throughout migration efforts
• Develop, test, and support integrations, reconciliation processes, reporting, and re‑indexing jobs aligned with enterprise standards
• Provide full lifecycle application support, including development, testing, deployment, and production support
• Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, compliant solutions

What We’re Looking For

• Strong Java development experience with object‑oriented analysis and design
• Hands‑on experience with IBM FileNet Content Manager and/or FileNet Process Engine, preferably in migration or integration scenarios
• Experience supporting large enterprise migrations in regulated environments
• Proven ability to handle complex data transformations, metadata mapping, and versioned content migration
• Experience with testing, performance tuning, quality assurance, and risk mitigation
• Ability to own work end‑to‑end and operate effectively in complex enterprise environments
