Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) located in Bengaluru. The SDET will be responsible for Automation of Test cases, Authoring Test Cases and Manual Testing of software systems to ensure top performance and reliability. Daily tasks include back/front-end software Automation, creating robust test frameworks, debugging code, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve product quality and troubleshoot issues effectively. Required Qualification, Skills Bachelor?s or Master?s degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent. 3 to 11 years of automation experience [hands-on coding and design in Java] Proficient in writing clean, maintainable code in Java Experience with one or more database technologies (Postgres, MySQL) is desirable. Desired Experience: Experience developing and/or testing large scale web services, server applications, or RESTful APIs using Java. Exposure to automation frameworks (TestNG, Junit, Nunit etc.,) is must. Prior working knowledge of networking server technologies and protocols (HTTP, Proxy Servers, Load Balancers). Knowledge of revision control software (ex. Perforce, SVN, Git, etc.) and development lifecycle is plus. Saas/Cloud large scale testing experience a huge plus. Experience with the Agile Methodology and continuous integration (i.e. nightly built and release) is a plus. Well versed in testing highly scalable enterprise client-server software is a plus. Experience with Web UI testing tools such as Selenium/Web Driver RC is a plus Behavioral Attributes Must have a passion for quality and a bias towards speed. Be a good evangelist for the benefits of test automation. Must be a motivated self-starter with a short learning curve. Must be able to learn new technical areas quickly.
