Position Title: Java REST Assured Automation Engineer Location: Bangalore Experience: 5+ years Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Java Automation Engineer with hands-on experience in REST Assured and a strong foundation in software development and quality assurance. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Java and its ecosystem, with a deep understanding of scalable application design and automation frameworks. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java and REST Assured. Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure high-quality software delivery. Apply object-oriented programming principles and design patterns to build reusable and maintainable test frameworks. Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing practices. Troubleshoot and optimize test automation performance and reliability. Maintain version control and build configurations using industry-standard tools. Technical Skills Required: Programming Language: Strong proficiency in Java Automation Frameworks: REST Assured (Mandatory) OOP & Design Patterns: Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and architectural patterns Reusable Libraries: Experience in writing modular and reusable Java libraries Concurrency: Knowledge of concurrency patterns in Java Frameworks & APIs: Familiarity with MVC, JDBC, and RESTful APIs Scalable Design: Understanding of principles behind scalable applications JVM Knowledge: Basic understanding of class loading mechanisms, JVM limitations, and optimizations Version Control: Proficient with Git or similar tools Build Tools: Experience with Ant, Maven, and Gradle CI/CD: Familiarity with continuous integration practices Cloud Exposure: Knowledge of AWS is a plus
