Job Description

Overview We're scaling our Integration portfolio and need a high-velocity Java Integration Developer who can hit the ground running, operate with enterprise discipline, and deliver seamless, production-grade integration outcomes. The role demands someone who thrives in fast-paced delivery cycles, is open to working on Guidewire integrations, and brings a strong engineering mindset with zero dependency culture. Core Responsibilities Architect, design, and implement high-throughput Java-based integration services across enterprise insurance systems. Build and enhance REST/SOAP APIs, microservices, event-driven components, and middleware connectors used in complex carrier environments. Develop Guidewire integration layers (BillingCenter, PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter) including GOSU-agnostic API consumption, edge adapters, message-driven interfaces, and cloud-integrated workflows. Own E2E integration lifecycle ? requirements analysis, solution design, development, performance tuning, hardening, deployment, and post-implementation stabilisation. Lead integration patterns using Java, Spring Boot, messaging frameworks (Kafka or JMS), JSON/XML transformations, and data orchestration pipelines. Collaborate with SI teams to ensure integrations are aligned with Guidewire Cloud standards, API contracts, and upgrade-safe frameworks. Drive exception-handling strategies, resiliency patterns, idempotency design, and fault-tolerant architectures across integration touchpoints. Partner with QA, DevOps, and Onshore delivery leads to ensure CI/CD alignment, automated test coverage, and production-ready quality gates. Produce clear technical documentation covering sequence flows, interface specifications, deployment models, and versioning standards. Act as a force multiplier in scaling Java+Guidewire integration maturity across new client engagements. Mentor junior developers and ensure consistency in coding standards, review cycles, and architectural guardrails. Required Skills Strong engineering background with 8+ years in Java, Spring/Spring Boot, REST/SOAP services, and integration-heavy ecosystems. Hands-on exposure to Guidewire integration patterns (edge APIs, messaging, cloud connectors) or readiness to quickly scale into the Guidewire integration stack. Solid command of integration frameworks, message brokers, security protocols (OAuth2/JWT), and cloud-hosted service models. Demonstrated expertise in building scalable, low-latency, fault-tolerant integration services for enterprise clients. Strong debugging, log-trace analysis, and performance troubleshooting capabilities. Ability to operate under pressure, manage tight timelines, and drive outcomes with minimal supervision. Preferred Skills Experience in insurance or InsurTech ecosystems. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud deployment models. Guidewire Cloud certification (nice to have but not mandatory).
