About Business Line/Function Global Banking IT is mainly for Corporate Clients. Global Banking IT mainly covers Payments and Cash Management, Trade Finance, Corporate Deposits and Lending business. We are around 700 Employees based in BNP Paribas India Solutions covering Development, Business Analysis, Testing and Production Support. We work for Asia, Europe, and America region. Project VAM within Global Banking IT aims at developing a Virtual Account management system. Job Title Java Tech Lead Date Oct - 2025 Department Global Banking IT Location: Mumbai Business Line / Function Global Banking IT Reports To (Direct) Project Manager Grade (if applicable) N/A (Functional) Number Of Direct Reports N/A Directorship / Registration NA Position Purpose The position is for a Java Tech Lead for Project VAM, with responsibility of leading the development of a virtual account management system. Candidate will act as an individual contributor along with leading the team. Responsibilities Direct Responsibilities Work with geographically distributed Agile Scrum team. Guide the team with technical delivery. Work on the end-to-end technical solution. Support during all the phases of development. Contributing Responsibilities Team player. Effectively communicate with stakeholders. Open to new technology adaptation, learning and implementation within the project. Technical & Behavioral Competencies Mandatory Jakarta EE. Experience with Microservices. Experience with API dev. Experience in core JAVA 11+ and advanced java (JDBC, Collections, Serialization, Memory management) & Hibernate. Knowledge RDBMS specifically Oracle & SQL skills. Good understanding of GIT and Maven. Good to have. Experience in UI development using Angular 8+. Data Grid (Apache Ignite). DB versioning (Liquidbase) SWIFT MT format knowledge. ISO 20022 format (camt52/camt53) Understanding of Agile Workflow. Understanding of TDD design pattern.
