About The Company

A product engineering team is re-engineering a legacy platform into future-ready software, and they need a hands-on senior engineer who can build a full-stack solution from the ground up. This is a build-from-scratch mandate, not a maintenance seat — you'll shape the architecture of the next-generation stack and set the technical bar for how it's built, sed, and shipped.

The role

You'll design and deliver enterprise-grade web applications end to end — from Spring Boot microservices and REST APIs on the backend to responsive Angular front-ends. You'll sit close to product managers, architects, and cross-functional teams, contribute directly to system design, and help drive an AI-native, spec-driven way of working where clear specifications and acceptance criteria flow straight into production code and automated ss. It's a role for someone who wants ownership of both the code and the engineering practices around it.

What You'll Do

Design, build, and maintain enterprise-grade web applications using Java and Angular, from scratch through production.
Build scalable, high-performance RESTful APIs on a Spring Boot microservices architecture.
Develop responsive front-ends with Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
Contribute to system design and architecture decisions, and optimize for performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
Drive a spec-driven, AI-native SDLC — use AI to author unambiguous specs and acceptance criteria, then translate them into production code and automated s suites (unit, integration, BDD/acceptance).
Use AI coding assistants and agentic tooling to accelerate delivery while holding the line on code quality, security, and peer review.
Review code, mentor junior developers, troubleshoot production issues, and participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.

What We're Looking For

7–10 years in software development, with strong hands-on Java (8/11/17) and the Spring Framework.
Deep expertise in Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, and Hibernate/JPA.
Strong Angular experience (Angular 10+ preferred) with TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
Solid grounding in relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server) and messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
Comfortable with Git, Maven/Gradle, CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Hands-on with AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor) in day-to-day work, and able to turn requirements and acceptance criteria into automated ss using TDD/BDD.

Nice to have

Domain exposure to freight forwarding, logistics, supply chain, finance, or ERP platforms.
Experience with SaaS or enterprise product development and distributed, event-driven systems.
Familiarity with BDD frameworks (Cucumber/Gherkin), unit sing tools (JUnit, Mockito, Jasmine/Karma), and AI-assisted s generation.
Exposure to prompt engineering and AI-agent workflows applied to software delivery, plus DevOps and Infrastructure as Code.
