Job Description

JAVA + GCPDevOps Experienced Java professional with over 8 years of experience, specializing in building, maintaining, and modernizing enterprise-grade applications with a focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and DevOps practices. You will lead the development of scalable, reliable, and secure backend systems, implementing best practices in cloud deployment, automation, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services using Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, and related frameworks. Architect, build, and manage scalable cloud-native applications on GCP, utilizing services such as Kubernetes, CloudSQL, BigQuery, and others. Develop automation scripts and tools in Shell/Bash, Python, and other scripting languages for deployment, monitoring, and operational tasks. Lead the implementation of CI/CD pipelines, leveraging tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or equivalents. Manage infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Bicep for automated provisioning and configuration. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless deployment, monitoring, and operational excellence. Troubleshoot complex issues across cloud environments and enterprise systems, providing root cause analysis and solutions. Ensure security, compliance, and best practices are integrated into all development and deployment processes. Required Skills 8+ years of progressive experience in Java development, with proficiency in Java 8, 11, or 17. Strong experience with Spring Boot, Hibernate, and legacy Java frameworks. Extensive hands-on experience with GCP services, especially Kubernetes (GKE), CloudSQL, BigQuery, and related cloud-native tools. Proven ability to develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or equivalents. Proficiency in containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes). Strong scripting skills in Shell/Bash and Python. Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Bicep. Solid understanding of cloud security, monitoring, and logging practices. Experience working in agile environments, managing high-complexity systems, and leading technical initiatives. Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills. Preferred Additional Experience Knowledge or experience with databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or other RDBMS. Exposure to financial messaging systems (SWIFT, ISO 20022) is a plus. Familiarity with deploying and managing microservices architectures. Understanding of monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Azure Monitor. Leadership or mentorship experience in large-scale development projects.
