Java developer

Industry & Sector: Enterprise software development and IT services ? building scalable, transaction-safe back-end systems and business applications for B2B and consumer-facing platforms. This is an on-site Java engineering role based in India focused on delivering production-grade backend services, APIs, and microservices for enterprise customers across web and cloud platforms. Primary job title (standardized): Java Developer Role & Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot, delivering clean, testable, and performant code. Implement and evolve microservice architectures, including service-to-service communication, API contracts, and versioning strategies. Integrate persistence layers using Hibernate/JPA and optimize SQL queries for reliability and throughput. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, DevOps, Product) to integrate CI/CD pipelines, automated tests, and observability into delivery workflows. Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes to improve stability and latency. Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and drive engineering best practices for maintainability and security.
