Primary Job Title: Java Developer

About The Opportunity

We operate in the enterprise software and IT services sector, building mission-critical Java-based applications for clients across finance, healthcare, and retail. This on-site role in India will join a delivery-focused engineering team responsible for backend systems, integrations, and scalable services that power production environments.

Role & Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot for high-availability production systems.
Implement and consume RESTful APIs, ensuring clear contracts, versioning, and backward compatibility.
Work with Hibernate/JPA for persistence, optimize SQL queries, and tune database interactions for performance.
Participate in code reviews, unit/integration testing, and maintain high code quality using JUnit and CI pipelines.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, DevOps, Product) to deliver features on sprint cadences and resolve production issues.
Document designs, implement logging/monitoring, and follow security and release-management best practices for on-premise/cloud deployments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent preferred.
