Job Title: Java Backend Developer ? AWS Cloud / API Migration Location: Gurgaon (Hybrid/On-site) Experience: 5+ Years Employment Type: Full-time Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Java Backend Developer with strong expertise in API development and migration within AWS Cloud environments . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing, building, and deploying scalable backend systems using Java , Spring Boot , and RESTful APIs . Experience with containerization and Kubernetes (K8s) is a strong plus. This role involves working on modernizing APIs and migrating them to AWS-based architectures while ensuring performance, security, and reliability. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Core Java and Spring Boot frameworks. Lead and support API migration initiatives from legacy systems to modern cloud-based APIs on AWS . Develop, test, and deploy RESTful APIs ensuring scalability, reliability, and high performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement backend architecture and integration strategies. Build cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, and IAM . Optimize application performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure adherence to coding and security best practices. Participate in CI/CD pipeline setup, deployment automation, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) initiatives. Work in an Agile development environment with active involvement in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. Ensure proper documentation and maintain technical excellence throughout project delivery. Required Skills & Qualifications: 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java backend development . Strong proficiency in Core Java , Spring Boot , and RESTful API development . Proven experience in API migration and integration projects. Solid understanding of AWS Cloud services ? EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, S3, RDS, CloudFormation, etc. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes (K8s) . Strong knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and data modeling. Experience with CI/CD pipelines , Git , and DevOps tools (Jenkins, Terraform, etc.). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Good to Have: Knowledge of microservices architecture . Exposure to API Gateway , OAuth , and security standards . Experience with serverless computing (AWS Lambda). Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices.
