Job Title: Java API Developer Experience Level: 3? 7 Years Location: Bangalore Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Java Developer with strong experience in API development and backend integration , proficient in both RESTful and SOAP architectural styles. The candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and integrating APIs in alignment with service-oriented architecture (SOA) principles and API best practices . The role requires hands-on expertise in Java/J2EE , Spring Boot , and API management frameworks (Apigee preferred). The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of API security standards , Oracle databases , and integration with internal and external systems , ensuring reliable, secure, and high-performance digital solutions. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain APIs (RESTful and SOAP) following SOA principles and OpenAPI standards. Implement secure APIs adhering to OAuth2 and JWT protocols. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (onsite and remote) to deliver end-to-end API-based digital solutions. Integrate APIs with external partners and internal enterprise systems. Develop backend components, database scripts, and services using Oracle and UNIX/Shell scripting. Ensure best practices in code quality, performance, and documentation. Work independently and proactively in delivering project milestones. Technical Skills & Competencies Programming: Java, J2EE, Spring Boot API Development: RESTful, SOAP, OpenAPI, Swagger, TM Forum Standards API Technologies: JSON, XML, WSDL, SMPP, MQ, JWT API Management Tools: Apigee (preferred) Build Tools: Maven, Gradle Database: Oracle (SQL scripting, PL/SQL) Operating Systems: UNIX, Shell scripting Security Standards: OAuth2, SSL/TLS Microservices Architecture: Exposure to microservices-based solutions (preferred) Domain Knowledge: Telecom domain (EAI, OSS/BSS, Siebel) ? optional Education & Certifications Qualification: Bachelor?s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Science, or equivalent. Certifications: Relevant Java/API/Apigee certifications (advantageous).
