APPWRK IT Solutions is a fast growing custom software development company based in Mohali, Punjab. We work with international clients, especially in the USA and Europe, to build high quality digital products. For this position, we are hiring on behalf of one of our long term clients, a leading product based company that is scaling its mobile engineering team. The selected candidate will be part of APPWRK payroll and culture while working closely with our client team. This role is primarily based at our Mohali office and may involve occasional short visits to the client office for workshops, planning sessions or important releases.

Role Overview

We are looking for an IT Support Engineer with basic knowledge of networking, operating systems, and end-user IT support. The role involves supporting office and remote employees, maintaining IT assets, and assisting with day-to-day IT infrastructure operations.

Key Responsibilities

Provide IT support to office-based and remote employees for hardware, software, and network-related issues

Troubleshoot and resolve laptop/desktop performance issues such as slow system, startup delays, and application slowness

Perform RAM upgrades, SSD installation/replacement, and basic hardware troubleshooting

Diagnose and resolve Windows OS issues including blue screen errors, system crashes, driver issues, and update failures

Provide basic support for Linux / Ubuntu systems

Assist in troubleshooting network connectivity issues (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN)

Configure and support routers, switches, wireless access points, and firewall devices

Assist with firewall-related checks and basic security troubleshooting

Manage IT asset inventory, including laptops, desktops, accessories, allocation, and returns

Provide remote support using tools like AnyDesk, TeamViewer, or similar

Coordinate with vendors for hardware repair, replacement, and warranty claims

Maintain IT documentation, asset records, and support logs

Escalate complex issues to senior engineers or vendors when required

Required Skills & Knowledge

Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)

Knowledge of routers, switches, and wireless networking

Basic understanding of firewalls and security concepts

Hands-on experience with Windows OS troubleshooting

Basic exposure to Linux / Ubuntu

Knowledge of hardware components (RAM, SSD, HDD, peripherals)

Understanding of IT asset management

Ability to support on-site and remote employees

Strong troubleshooting and communication skills

Willingness to learn and grow in IT infrastructure

Educational Qualification

Diploma / Degree in IT, Computer Science, Electronics, or related field

Hardware & Networking course from a recognized institute is a plus (not mandatory)

Good To Have (Optional)

CCNA / Networking Fundamentals certification

Experience with ticketing or ITSM tools

Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS / Azure basics)

Internship or hands-on lab experience in IT support
