IT Data Engineer (Senior) Location: Bangalore, India (Onsite) Contract Type: 1-year contract (January?December 2026) Work Schedule: Full-time, on-site Application Deadline: Until the position is filled Language: English (mandatory) ?? Job Overview We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to lead and contribute to data engineering initiatives of moderate complexity. The role focuses on designing, developing and maintaining data pipelines that support scalable analytics, faster insights and improved decision-making across the organization. You will work independently under broad guidance, influence technical direction, and help shape data architecture for long-term growth. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience building big data solutions and enabling data-driven outcomes. ?? Key Responsibilities Lead or contribute as a key team member in defining, designing and building scalable data pipelines. Implement big data solutions supporting high-volume and high-velocity data growth. Apply modern development, testing and deployment techniques to accelerate delivery cycles. Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze and model complex data sets and KPIs. Influence teams in adopting data insights and supporting analytics maturity. Work independently on technical design, development and deployment activities. Guide junior team members through Agile practices when applicable. Participate in project meetings, share technical insights and support solution decision-making. ?? Mandatory Skills 5?8 years of experience in data engineering or big data development. Strong hands-on experience building ETL/ELT data pipelines. Proficiency in SQL and a programming language such as Python. Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop). Ability to integrate structured and unstructured data from diverse sources. Experience with version control tools like Git. Experience working in Agile delivery environments. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. ? Preferred Skills Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure Data Services, AWS Big Data, etc.). Familiarity with data orchestration tools (Airflow, Databricks). Experience with CI/CD for data engineering. Exposure to advanced analytics, KPI modelling or data quality frameworks.
