Job Description
Are you interested in an opportunity to earn a paycheck while learning the fundamentals of a skilled trade? If you answered yes, Cianbro has a great opportunity where you can take your first step towards a career in construction!
Selected participants will begin their employment with a 3-week educational session within the trade of ironworking where they will learn about steel connections, torch work, and bolt-up and torque methods. Their focus will be on learning to work as a team, safe work practices, and developing the fundamental skills needed to assist with a specific trade.
In addition to the items above, all participants will learn how to take basic measurements, the proper use of hand and power tools, and equipment operation (aerial, scissor, and forklift).
Upon successful completion of the 3-week program, participants will receive a project assignment where they will apply their newly acquired skills while working alongside Cianbro’s craft professionals. Based on performance, these new team members will have the opportunity to receive periodic wage increases and will continue to earn a paycheck while they learn and progress towards achieving journey-level proficiency and journey-level wages.
