Role Description The Interior Designer will be responsible for planning and executing interior design concepts for residential and commercial projects, ensuring that spaces are functional, sustainable, and visually engaging. Day-to-day tasks include developing design schemes, preparing layouts and mood boards, selecting materials and finishes, coordinating FF&E, and producing detailed drawings in collaboration with architects and project teams. The role involves meeting with clients, understanding their requirements, presenting design proposals, and supporting projects from concept through completion, including site visits and coordination with contractors and vendors. This is a full-time, on-site or hybrid role based in Salem, requiring regular presence at the office and project locations.

Qualifications

• Strong Interior Design and Space Planning skills to create functional, aesthetically pleasing environments.
• Knowledge of Architecture and the ability to collaborate effectively with architects and other design professionals.
• Proficiency in preparing Construction Drawings and documentation for implementation and coordination on site.
• Experience with FF&E selection, including furniture, fixtures, and equipment that align with design concepts and budgets.
• Hands-on ability with design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp) and presentation tools.
• Attention to detail, strong visual and spatial awareness, and a good understanding of materials, lighting, and finishes.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly to clients and project teams.
• Relevant degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a closely related field; prior project experience is an advantage.
