Client Overview:

Vernovis is partnering with a growing Cincinnati-based organization seeking an experienced Interim Controller to support day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and team leadership during a transitional period.

• Lead month-end close, financial reporting, and general ledger activities
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and financial statements
• Oversee accounting operations, internal controls, and compliance processes
• Manage and support accounting staff across multiple business entities
• Coordinate audit support and partner with external auditors
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Maintain fixed assets, tax filings, and ERP-related accounting processes

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of Controller or senior-level accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting processes
• Prior experience leading or supervising accounting teams
• Advanced Excel and ERP system experience

• CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred
• Manufacturing or distribution industry experience
• Multi-entity accounting background preferred
