Integration Architect

Actively Reviewing

Integrella

India Full-Time 4–8 yrs exp Posted 4 hours ago  · Apply by Sep 14, 2026

Integrella is seeking an accomplished Integration Architect to design and govern enterprise-grade integration solutions for finance, tax, and accounting technology platforms. This role demands deep expertise across the Azure Integration Services landscape, event-driven architecture, and API-led design, with a focus on delivering high-integrity, auditable financial data flows for global clients.

You will own end-to-end integration architecture decisions, define standards for APIs, events, and data pipelines, and work closely with client stakeholders to connect ERP systems, data platforms, and regulatory reporting solutions into a cohesive, well-governed integration estate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define, design, and govern enterprise-wide integration architecture across cloud, on-premises, hybrid, ERP, SaaS, and financial platforms.
  • Architect scalable, resilient, and secure integration solutions using synchronous (REST/SOAP) and asynchronous (messaging/event-driven) integration patterns.
  • Design and implement API-led connectivity strategies, reusable integration services, and enterprise integration frameworks.
  • Design event-driven architectures and streaming data pipelines using Azure Event Hubs, Azure Service Bus, Kafka, or equivalent messaging platforms to support high-volume, mission-critical business processes.
  • Define enterprise messaging strategies, including Publish/Subscribe, Queue-based messaging, Event Streaming, Request/Reply, and Event Sourcing patterns.
  • Design and oversee integration pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps, Azure Functions, MuleSoft, or equivalent enterprise integration platforms.
  • Define ETL/ELT design patterns and data movement strategies across Azure Databricks, Data Lakes, Lakehouses, ADLS Gen2, and Microsoft Fabric, aligned with Architecture and modern data engineering principles.
  • Architect integrations with enterprise platforms such as Workday (PECI/DCOD, Core Connectors, RaaS), SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Salesforce, and other business-critical applications.
  • Establish enterprise standards for message contracts, event schema design, schema registry, metadata management, API governance, and integration versioning.
  • Produce integration specifications, canonical data models, mapping documents, data validation rules, reconciliation controls, and error-handling frameworks to ensure high-quality and auditable data exchanges.
  • Design secure integration architectures incorporating OAuth2, OpenID Connect (OIDC), JWT, mTLS, RBAC, encryption, secrets management, and zero-trust security principles.
  • Lead integration platform governance, including architecture reviews, design assurance, reusable assets, reference architectures, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architects, Data Architects, Solution Architects, Product Owners, and business stakeholders to translate business and regulatory requirements into scalable integration solutions.
  • Drive cloud-native integration strategies leveraging containers (Docker), Kubernetes/OpenShift, serverless computing, and microservices architectures where appropriate.
  • Champion engineering excellence through CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Bicep), DevSecOps, and deployment automation.
  • Establish comprehensive monitoring, observability, logging, distributed tracing, alerting, and operational dashboards to ensure platform reliability and proactive issue detection.
  • Evaluate emerging integration technologies, AI-powered integration platforms, Agentic AI, Model Context Protocol (MCP), and intelligent automation opportunities to continuously evolve the integration landscape.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to integration developers, engineers, and architects while supporting pre-sales, solution estimation, and client workshops.

Technical Skills Required

  • 8+ years of experience in integration architecture, data engineering, or middleware roles, with at least 3 years focused on finance, tax, or accounting technology
  • Deep hands-on expertise with Azure Integration Services: Azure Data Factory, Azure Event Hubs, Azure Service Bus, Azure API Management, Logic Apps, and Azure Functions
  • Strong proficiency in designing event-driven architecture and streaming data pipelines for high-integrity financial data flows
  • Experience with RESTful API design, Open API/Swagger specifications, and API lifecycle governance
  • Solid understanding of ETL/ELT design patterns, Delta Lake, and Medallion Architecture on Azure Databricks and ADLS Gen2
  • Experience integrating with major ERP systems – Workday (PECI/DCOD, Core Connectors, RaaS), SAP, or Oracle – in a financial data context
  • Familiarity with event schema design, message contracts, versioning, and schema registry patterns
  • Strong SQL and Python skills for integration specification, data validation, and pipeline development

Technical Skills – Advantageous

  • Experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (design, build, deploy, govern), Boomi, or equivalent iPaaS
  • Knowledge of e-Invoicing standards and regulatory data exchange formats: PEPPOL, SAF-T, e-Fattura, CFDI, or equivalent local mandates
  • Exposure to Microsoft Purview for integration lineage and data governance
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code (Bicep/Terraform) for integration platform deployments

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven ability to define and communicate integration architecture vision, standards, and roadmaps
  • Strong understanding of integration patterns, API-led design, and event-driven architecture principles
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and distributed delivery teams
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong ownership, problem-solving mindset, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team

Soft Skills & Consulting Attributes

  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage confidently at both technical and business levels
  • Client-focused mindset with the ability to understand requirements and translate them into effective solutions
  • Ability to lead discussions, provide recommendations, and influence decision-making
  • High level of ownership and accountability for deliverables and outcomes
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills in complex scenarios
  • Ability to mentor junior team members and contribute to team development
