RED provides turnkey T?EPC (Technology?Engineering?Procurement?Construction) solutions and modular engineering packages for CBG plants across India, including large-scale projects for Reliance Industries and other major renewable developers. Our mission is to enable India?s clean energy transition through waste-to-energy, renewable hybrid systems (solar + storage), and cost-optimized bioenergy solutions. Position Summary: The incumbent will lead the Control & Instrumentation (C&I) Automation scope for CBG plant projects ? from design review to erection, commissioning, and handover. This role demands strong expertise in PLC/DCS systems, field instrumentation, control panel design, and automation commissioning for process and gas industry projects. Key Responsibilities: Design & Engineering ?Review and optimize instrumentation and automation design for CBG projects. Prepare/verify P&IDs, loop drawings, panel layouts, control logic, and termination diagrams. Select instruments, analyzers, and control hardware per project specs and international standards (IEC, ISA, ATEX). ?Work on major PLC/DCS platforms ? Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider. Coordinate design reviews, FATs, and control system integration with OEMs and vendors. Procurement & Vendor Management Evaluate and finalize system integrators, panel builders, and instrument suppliers. Review technical offers and ensure compliance with project specs and QA/QC requirements. Participate in vendor inspections (FAT) and ensure timely delivery of C&I packages. Erection & Commissioning Lead on-site installation, loop checking, and commissioning of C&I systems. Conduct FAT/SAT, logic testing, and system handover activities. Troubleshoot control logic, communication issues, and process instrumentation faults. ?Verify and finalize as-built documentation for project closure. Project Management Prepare and monitor C&I execution schedules and manpower plans. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (Electrical, Process, Mechanical, Civil). Track project progress, identify risks, and report to project leadership. Health, Safety & Compliance Enforce safety protocols during erection and commissioning. Comply with RED?s EHS, Quality, and Operational Excellence guidelines. Conduct site risk assessments and mitigation planning. Documentation & Reporting Maintain records of installation, inspection, and commissioning activities. Prepare FAT/SAT reports, test certificates, and performance data logs. Document lessons learned and recommendations for continuous improvement. Training & Post-Commissioning Support Conduct operational and maintenance training for O&M personnel. Provide remote and on-site technical support post-handover. Essential Qualifications: B.E. / B.Tech in Instrumentation, E&TC, or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institute. 10?15 years? experience in C&I design, procurement, vendor management, erection, and commissioning for process plants (preferably CBG / Gas / Oil & Gas / Chemicals). Strong knowledge of automation systems (PLC/DCS/SCADA), communication protocols (MODBUS, Profibus, Ethernet/IP), and field instrumentation. Excellent coordination, problem-solving, and documentation skills. Willingness to travel across project sites in India. Preferred Skills: Hands-on experience in greenfield CBG / biogas / renewable energy projects. Knowledge of gas analyzers, safety instrumentation, and hazardous area classification. Experience with Emerson / Honeywell / ABB automation systems will be an advantage.
