We are looking for an Instructional Designer to lead the design of high-interactivity (Level 3 and above) e-learning and training programs for our corporate clients. Key ResponsibilitiesContent Strategy and Design Leadership- Work with the team to recommend the right content treatment and interactivity level based on the audience, subject, and budget.
- Lead end-to-end instructional design: needs analysis, learning objectives, design documents, storyboarding, and evaluation.
- Guide the team on visual style, layout, and learner experience.
- Review and edit storyboards produced by the team and mentor junior instructional designers.
- Design and develop interactive e-learning modules in Articulate Storyline including branching scenarios and assessments.
- Support storyboard creation for AR, VR, and 3D content through team collaboration.
- Develop WBT and ILT materials aligned to industry standards.
- Write and edit video scripts and learning content.
- Develop assessments that measure the effectiveness of training programs.
- Participate in client calls on design strategy and feedback.
- Receive client feedback constructively, raise queries confidently, and convert agreed feedback into clear actions for the team.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SME) to translate raw content into engaging learning experiences.
- Brief and coordinate the graphic/media team with clear visual direction.
- Ensure all output meets e-learning standards (SCORM, AICC, xAPI), accessibility requirements, and client brand guidelines.
- Stay current with e-learning trends and tools, including AI-assisted authoring and emerging interaction formats.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in instructional design, education technology, English, mass communication or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of experience designing and developing corporate learning programs, with demonstrable Level 3+ interactivity work.
- Command of instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM, Bloom’s Taxonomy, Gagné’s Nine Events, adult learning principles) and sound judgment on when to apply each.
- Expert-level Articulate Storyline; working knowledge of Captivate, Rise, Vyond or similar tools.
- Strong visual design sensibility, able to direct layout, colour, typography and graphic treatment, and articulate why a visual approach works.
- Excellent client-facing communication, presentation and facilitation skills.
- Experience designing both synchronous and asynchronous online learning.
- Working knowledge of accessibility compliance for digital learning content.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and fact-based decision-making.
- Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Awareness of AI tools in the learning content workflow, e.g., generative AI for ideation, scripting and storyboard drafts, AI voiceover and video generation, AI-assisted authoring, with a practical view on where they add value and where they risk quality.
- Hands-on experimentation with any of these tools in past projects is a plus, not a requirement.
- A portfolio is mandatory and must include at least one Level 3+ interactive sample with a short note on the strategy behind it.
- Ability to learn new tools, subjects and concepts quickly.
- Self-motivated team player who can also work independently.
