Job Title: IT-Operations Lead

Location: Kolkata (Onsite - Work from Office)

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive IT Operations Lead to oversee our company’s IT infrastructure, systems, and daily operations. This role involves ensuring smooth functioning of IT services, managing IT support, maintaining security standards, and optimizing systems to support business growth. The IT Operations Lead will collaborate across departments to align IT strategies with business needs and lead a team of IT professionals/vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

1. IT Infrastructure & Systems Management

• Oversee the performance, availability, and security of all IT systems (networks, servers, cloud, and applications).

• Manage system upgrades, backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.

• Ensure high uptime and minimal disruption of IT services.

2. IT Operations & Support

• Lead IT helpdesk operations to resolve user issues promptly.

• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot network/server/software issues.

• Maintain inventory of could and on-prem infra, hardware, software, and licenses.

3. Security & Compliance

• Implement IT policies, data protection, and cybersecurity measures.

• Conduct regular security audits, patch management, and risk assessments.

• Ensure compliance with data protection regulations (IT Act, ISO standards, DPDP, etc.).

4. Vendor & Stakeholder Management

• Manage relationships with IT vendors, service providers, and consultants.

• Negotiate contracts and ensure SLAs are met.

• Collaborate with business teams to understand IT requirements and deliver solutions.

5. Leadership & Strategy

• Lead and mentor IT operations staff.

• Define KPIs and monitor IT performance metrics.

• Develop and implement IT operational strategies aligned with company goals.

Required Skills:

a. 8+ years of IT operations experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.

b. Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure (networking, cloud platforms, servers, databases).

c. Hands-on experience with ERP, CRM, and enterprise applications.

d. Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and compliance standards.

e. Excellent problem-solving, project management, and leadership skills.

f. Experience in FMCG/Retail/E-commerce domain.

g. Familiarity with Shopify, CRM, ERP integrations, and SaaS environments.

h. ITIL, PMP, or CISSP framework knowledge is preferred.

Qualification and Industry:

a. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.

b. A Master’s degree or equivalent experience in software engineering, web technologies, or e-commerce is a plus.

c. FMCG/Retail/eCommerce Industry background is required.
