We are looking for a passionate and skilled Ignition SCADA Engineer to join our Automation & Digitization team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, developing, and deploying of solutions based on Ignition platform alongside expertise in PLC programming and IIoT integration.

Job Overview

This role focuses on developing cutting-edge Industrial Automation and Digitization solutions using Ignition platform. You will work on system development, testing, and commissioning, with opportunities to collaborate on international projects and provide innovative IIoT solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Development

- Design and implement advanced SCADA solutions using Ignition (Vision and Perspective modules).
- Integrate Ignition systems with PLCs, HMIs, and IIoT platforms.
- Develop custom scripts and templates in Ignition to optimize system functionality and user experience.
- Collaborate with clients to understand the requirements.

Testing & Validation

- Conduct thorough in-house testing and validation using simulation tools.
- Validate data integrity and system behaviour across all integrated platforms.

Technical Documentation

- Prepare comprehensive project documentation, including architecture diagrams, tag configurations, and scripting references.

Site Commissioning

- Deploy and commission Ignition SCADA systems at client locations.
- Provide remote (online) support for deployment and commissioning to customers and internal commissioning teams.

Training & Mentorship

- Provide training to customers and junior engineers.
- Mentor team members on tools, techniques and best practices to foster a collaborative learning environment.

Qualifications

Education

- B.Tech/BE in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.

Experience

- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in Industrial Automation/Digitization with a focus on Ignition based application development.

Skills

- Expertise in Ignition SCADA development, including Vision, Perspective, and scripting (Python, SQL).
- Proficient in configuring and managing Ignition Gateway, OPC connections, and Tag Historian.
- Knowledge of PLC programming (STL, FBD, Ladder) and integration with Ignition SCADA.
- Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (Modbus RTU/TCP, Ethernet IP, PROFINET, OPC UA, MQTT).
- Familiarity with IIoT technologies.
- Excellent troubleshooting, collaboration, and communication skills.
