Job Description
Role Purpose
To build, standardize, and manage compliant workforce systems across manufacturing units, business clusters, and retail operations. The role is responsible for ensuring compliance with statutory labor law, strengthening HR processes, workforce planning, employee engagement, and organizational capability development across all levels of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Statutory & Labor Law Compliance
- Oversee and ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws, statutory regulations, and employment standards across manufacturing plants, warehouses, clusters, and retail outlets.
- Manage compliance with PF, ESI, Factory Act, Shops & Establishment Act, Contract Labour Act, Minimum Wages, Bonus, Gratuity, and other statutory requirements.
- Coordinate audits, inspections, documentation, and liaison with government authorities and external compliance agencies.
- Ensure timely filing of statutory returns and maintenance of compliance records.
Organization Structure & HR Systems
- Develop and implement scalable organizational structures aligned with business growth plans.
- Design and strengthen HR systems, including recruitment, onboarding, probation management, performance management, and employee lifecycle processes.
- Create and standardize HR policies, SOPs, and governance frameworks across all business units.
- Drive HR digitization and process improvements for operational efficiency.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Lead workforce planning for management, production, contract labor, and retail workforce requirements.
- Collaborate with business leaders to forecast manpower needs and optimize workforce utilization.
- Oversee end-to-end hiring processes, including sourcing, interviewing, selection, onboarding, and induction.
- Build talent pipelines for critical operational and leadership roles.
Performance Management & Employee Engagement
- Implement performance management frameworks, KRAs/KPIs, appraisal systems, and productivity tracking mechanisms.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives, retention programs, grievance handling, and workplace culture enhancement.
- Support leadership development, succession planning, and capability-building initiatives.
- Promote employee relations and maintain a positive industrial relations environment.
HR Operations & Governance
- Ensure smooth HR operations across manufacturing and retail locations.
- Monitor attendance, shift management, leave administration, disciplinary procedures, and workforce productivity metrics.
- Prepare HR dashboards, MIS reports, and compliance reports for management review.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support business expansion and operational excellence initiatives.
