About The Company
DCI Donor Services (DCIDS) is a leading organization dedicated to saving lives through organ donation. With over four decades of experience, DCIDS operates a comprehensive network that includes three organ procurement and tissue recovery organizations: New Mexico Donor Services, Sierra Donor Services, and Tennessee Donor Services. Additionally, the organization manages the DCI Donor Services Tissue Bank and Sierra Donor Services Eye Bank, maximizing the gift of life across multiple communities. Their commitment is centered on ending the transplant waiting list by facilitating nationwide donation, transplantation, and distribution of organs and tissues while maintaining close ties to local communities. The organization emphasizes fairness, belonging, and forward-thinking strategies to ensure all communities feel welcomed and valued. Their performance is measured by the quality of service provided to donor families and recipients, with a focus on compassionate care and operational excellence.
About The Role
DCI Donor Services is seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team. This pivotal role involves overseeing and supporting the daily operations of the HR department to ensure compliance, consistency, and excellence across all human resource functions. The HR Manager will serve as a strategic partner to leadership, helping to develop and implement initiatives that foster employee engagement, retention, and a positive workplace culture. The position requires a proactive individual capable of managing employee relations, talent acquisition, benefits administration, onboarding, payroll, and HR compliance. The successful candidate will be instrumental in creating a supportive environment that aligns with DCIDS’s mission of saving lives through organ donation while maintaining high standards of organizational integrity and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree, with a Master’s degree preferred. They should have at least five years of progressive HR experience, demonstrating a strong understanding of HR policies, employment laws, and best practices. Proficiency in payroll software and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables, are essential. High attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality are critical. Effective written and verbal communication skills are required to interact with diverse stakeholders. Familiarity with benefits administration and HR processes is a plus, and candidates with a CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification or willingness to obtain one will be prioritized. Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a mission-centered environment is essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
DCI Donor Services offers a competitive compensation package designed to attract and retain top talent. Benefits include up to 184 hours of paid time off (PTO) in the first year, along with up to 72 hours of sick leave. Employees can choose between two medical plans—a PPO or HDHP—plus dental and vision coverage. The organization provides a 403(b) retirement plan with matching contributions, along with company-provided life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D), and long-term disability insurance. Additional benefits include a wellness program, supplemental insurance options such as accident coverage and short-term disability, and discounts on home, auto, renter, and pet insurance. Employees also enjoy cell phone discounts through Verizon and meal per diems when actively involved in cases, supporting their well-being and work-life balance.
Equal Opportunity
DCI Donor Services is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. We do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected class. We encourage candidates from all backgrounds to apply and join us in our mission to save lives through organ donation.
