Job Description

  • Responsible for aligned and sustainable operational and strategic HR activities for BMW India NSC, in line with legal and tax requirements as well as with BMW Group internal regulations, such as HR planning and steering, HR marketing and recruiting, HR management and talent management (incl. performance evaluation, training, qualification, change management), grading, comp & ben, working time, health management, occupational safety and food services, deployment and retirement (incl. succession planning), HR Services, HR data management (incl. HR reporting, controlling), coordination of temp agency liaisons
  • Responsible for design and implementation of local HR strategy, concepts, processes and tools within BMW Group wide framework, in collaboration with the HR Region as well as for implementation and governance of HR policies, in alignment with all legal, compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Responsible for communication all relevant central topics to involved parties and for information flow between regional HR partner and local HR organization for the NSC
  • Responsible for the implementation, supervision, support and improvement of local operational HR processes.

Accountability

  • Supports and implements the sales organization's human resource function and performance.
  • Prepares and facilitates the HR Committee for the entity
  • Leads and executes operational processes such as staffing (external recruiting and internal development, HR marketing), exits (e.g. retirement, termination), succession planning, performance evaluation / portfolio, salary and bonus planning, disciplinary measures, personal development (potential evaluation, training, qualification, job rotation), support HR Services (employee data administration, payroll, employee contact centre, management of global assignments)
  • Consults, supports and advises line management regarding HR processes generally and regarding implementation of HR measures on individual level.
  • Provides contribution from local perspectives to the HR Region on operative and strategic HR topics, initiatives and projects, and about results of HR processes on local level.
  • Coordinates organizational development projects as mandated by Head of HR.
  • Support the process of expatriate management - payroll, portfolio, tax configurations, accommodation, lease agreements and settling in, as per standard BMW lease terms and limits.
  • Represents HR topics towards internal and external auditors and authorities related to the NSC
  • Ensures compliance with local regulations regarding HR related topics for the NSC
  • Defines contract conditions, selects and steers external service provider for HR services, for temporary workforce
  • Coordination with regional and central HR functions for implementing HR strategy, processes and projects for responsible COCs
  • Bringing all the central and regional agenda to live for the COCS responsible by coordinating with leadership partners and HR experts of each entity.
  • Identification of suitable training programs/ interventions.
  • Develop and update employee policies (including policies common for both NSC and Plant) under the guidelines set by BMW group and all state and central labor laws.
  • Coordinate any Organization Development projects as mandated by HQ or India team.
  • Coordinate with all departments to drive HR processes and policies for the National sales company
  • Liase with regional team to bring central agenda to live in the market
  • Support team to lead the COC of Talent management, Learning, compensation and benefits, Engagement ] and governance
  • Coordinate with vendors to seek support for HR services
