Role Description The Housekeeping Guest Service Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. This role is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in guest rooms and common areas, including making beds, cleaning bathrooms, replenishing amenities, and ensuring all spaces are guest-ready. The associate will greet guests courteously, address basic service requests, and promptly report maintenance issues or safety concerns to the appropriate team members. Daily tasks include organizing cleaning supplies, following housekeeping checklists, adhering to health and safety protocols, and coordinating with the front desk or operations team to support smooth guest check-in and check-out. The role also involves handling laundry, maintaining inventory of linens and supplies, and upholding Hodo Stays’ service standards to deliver a consistent and comfortable guest experience.
Qualifications
- Strong housekeeping skills, including room cleaning, bathroom sanitation, linen handling, and use of cleaning equipment.
- Guest service and communication abilities to interact politely with guests, understand their needs, and respond to basic inquiries.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills to follow cleaning checklists, manage supplies, and maintain consistent quality standards.
- Knowledge of basic health, safety, and hygiene practices in hospitality environments, with the ability to follow established procedures.
- Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru on a full-time schedule, including weekends and holidays as required.
- Prior experience in housekeeping or hospitality support roles is preferred but not mandatory.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks safely.
- Basic reading and writing skills, and comfort using simple mobile or digital tools for checklists or task updates.
