Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented Housekeeping Assistant to join our team at Grinkle Park on a part‑time basis (16–24 hours per week). In this role you will help maintain the high standards of cleanliness and presentation our guests expect, working as part of a supportive housekeeping team.
Duties
Your duties will be within the Housekeeping department and will include cleaning guest rooms and public areas, replenishing amenities, and supporting the laundry and housekeeping supervisors. Previous experience is helpful but not essential as full training will be provided.
You will be welcoming, reliable and able to work with minimal supervision. You should be physically fit as the role involves standing, bending and lifting, and able to work flexible shifts including weekends. A good level of English is required to follow instructions and communicate with colleagues.

Job Type: Part‑time (16–24 hours per week)
Duties
Your duties will be within the Housekeeping department and will include cleaning guest rooms and public areas, replenishing amenities, and supporting the laundry and housekeeping supervisors. Previous experience is helpful but not essential as full training will be provided.
- Clean and prepare guest rooms to the company standard, including beds, bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming and replenishing supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of corridors, lounges and other public areas.
- Handle and sort laundry items and assist with basic laundry duties where required.
- Report maintenance issues, lost property and health & safety concerns to the supervisor promptly.
- Adhere to cleaning schedules and checklists to ensure consistent standards are met.
- Follow safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment; comply with health & safety and COSHH procedures.
- Provide friendly and courteous service when interacting with guests and colleagues, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Support the team during busy periods and assist with deep‑clean or turnover tasks as required.
You will be welcoming, reliable and able to work with minimal supervision. Qualifications & Skills
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
- Ability to work efficiently and pay attention to detail.
- Good time management and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Awareness of health & safety and manual handling practices.
- Right to work in the UK and ability to provide appropriate documentation.
