Overview

Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive, academic health system in central New York, major teaching affiliate of Columbia University, is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide Nocturnist Hospitalist services for Bassett Healthcare Network in Oneonta, NY at A.O. Fox Hospital.

This Nocturnist Hospitalist position is located at A.O. Fox Hospital in Oneonta, NY. The community hospital is licensed for 53 med/surg beds. Subspecialty services are available in Cardiology, General Surgery, Infectious disease, Pulmonary, Orthopedics and a burgeoning telemedicine service including Psychiatry, Palliative Care, and Neurology. Bassett is an EPIC EMR Network.

Responsibilities

155 shifts yearly, opportunity for up to 187 shifts per year; block schedule, typically 7 days on and 7 days off
Hours are 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM
Responsible for admitting patients from the ED and nearby hospitals, fielding transfer calls, and cross covering inpatients
Attend codes and rapid responses with the direct assistance of an in-house (24/7) board-certified Emergency Medicine physician
Telephone back-up from hospitalist physicians
Procedural skills preferred but not required
Fully Integrated EPIC electronic medical record throughout the network
Must be motivated to tackle challenges and be able to work independently
Build relationships with other practitioners at A.O. Fox Hospital and within Bassett Healthcare Network
Salary Range: $150,000 - $180,000, depending on number of shifts per year worked. This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare’s good faith belief of the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards
Sign-on bonus up to $50,000
