Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Lucknow. The History Teacher will:

• Design and deliver engaging History lessons across middle/siddle grades (TGT/PGT)

• Encourage critical thinking, inquiry, and perspective-building

• Connect historical concepts to contemporary contexts

• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback

• Create a classroom culture rooted in curiosity, respect, and dialogue

• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to school initiatives and activities

• Strong understanding of historical concepts and interpretation

• Ability to make learning engaging and discussion-driven

• Effective lesson planning and assessment practices

• Excellent communication and facilitation skills

• A genuine passion for teaching and student development

Qualifications

• Expertise in World History and American History
• Proficiency in Lesson Planning and History Education methodologies
• Experience in Curriculum Development tailored to IB, ICSE, or ISC standards
• Strong instructional and classroom management skills
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in History, Education, or a related discipline
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with integrating technology into teaching is advantageous
• A teaching certification and prior experience with IB, ICSE, or ISC curriculum are preferred
