We are looking for an experienced Warehouse In-Charge to lead warehouse operations in our chemical manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in inventory management, chemical storage practices, dispatch planning, and statutory compliance while ensuring safe and efficient warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end warehouse operations, including receipt, storage, preservation, and dispatch of raw materials, packing materials, finished goods, and engineering spares.
• Ensure compliance with FIFO/FEFO inventory practices.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, physical stock verification, and reconciliation.
• Coordinate with Production, Planning (PPC), Purchase, QA/QC, Sales, and Logistics for timely material availability and dispatch.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of hazardous chemicals in compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain warehouse documentation, stock registers, gate entries, delivery challans, and transport records.
• Monitor loading and unloading activities while ensuring safe material handling practices.
• Optimize warehouse space utilization and improve operational efficiency.
• Lead and supervise warehouse staff, contract workers, and forklift operators.
• Ensure compliance with 5S, GMP, EHS, and company safety procedures.
• Conduct periodic training on warehouse safety, chemical handling, and emergency response.
• Monitor warehouse KPIs such as inventory accuracy, dispatch turnaround time, stock aging, and warehouse productivity.
• Coordinate with transporters for on-time dispatch and customer deliveries.
• Support internal and external audits, including ISO, customer, and statutory audits.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations in the chemical/process manufacturing industry.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar inventory management software.
• Sound understanding of inventory control, stock reconciliation, and warehouse documentation.
• Knowledge of hazardous chemical storage, MSDS/SDS requirements, and statutory compliance.
• Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Preferred Experience

• 8–15 years of warehouse experience in Chemical Plant
• Experience in handling hazardous chemicals and regulatory compliance.
• Exposure to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management systems is preferred.
