Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position based in the Mohali district for an Assistant Professor in Computer Science/Information Technology at Amity University. The Assistant Professor will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality lectures, designing and updating curriculum, conducting impactful research, mentoring students, and engaging in departmental activities. Responsibilities also include assessing students’ academic progress, contributing to scholarly publications, collaborating with colleagues on interdisciplinary initiatives, and participating in university events and conferences.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in core Computer Science topics and advancements in the field.
• Expertise in Data Science and Cybersecurity concepts and applications.
• Strong knowledge of Programming languages and tools relevant to modern software development.
• Experience in Curriculum Development and implementing innovative teaching methodologies.
• Proven research skills with a record of peer-reviewed publications being preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for teaching and mentoring students.
• PhD in Computer Science, Information Technology (Thesis Submitted, candidates can apply).
• Previous teaching experience in higher education is highly desirable.
