Health And Safety Consultant

Construction Safety Services (NW) Ltd (CSSNW) is a dedicated "not for Profit" organisation made up of member companies. We don't answer to shareholders but to SME construction companies, across the North West, who rely on us for expert health and safety support.

Due to an upcoming retirement, we are looking for a dedicated professional to join our close-knit team.

Responsibilities

This isn't a desk job! Based out of our Golborne office, you'll spend the majority of your time out in the field, visiting a variety of construction sites across the North West. You'll be a vital resource for our members, providing the practical advice they need to keep their teams safe.

What you'll be doing:

• Site inspections: Conducting thorough on-site audits to ensure compliance and safety.
• Advisory Support: Being the "go-to" expert via phone and email for H & S queries.
• Incident Investigation: Leading investigations and producing clear, actionable reports.
• Training: Deliver training, Face Fit Testing and toolbox talks when requested.
• Documentation: Assisting in the development of robust policies, procedures and RAMS.

What we are looking for:

• Qualifications: CMIOSH preferred (we will also consider those with a NEBOSH construction certificate currently working toward CMIOSH).
• Experience: Proven background in a health and safety role specifically within the construction industry.
• Skills: A motivated applicant who can manage multiple tasks independently and communicate effectively with site teams and management alike.

• Flexibility: This is a permanent role. While ideally full-time, we are open to discussing part-time options for the right candidate.
