Job Description
Role Overview
The Head of Visual Merchandising will be responsible for defining and executing the overall visual merchandising strategy across all retail stores. This role ensures brand consistency, enhances customer experience, and drives sales through impactful visual storytelling and store presentation.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive visual merchandising strategy aligned with brand positioning, product categories, and target audience.
Lead the conceptualization and execution of window displays and in-store visual
presentations across all store locations.
Ensure consistency and uniformity of visual merchandising standards across multiple stores and regions.
Plan and execute seasonal, festive, and promotional display changes to support
product launches and marketing campaigns.
Source and manage props, display materials, and creative assets required for visual merchandising.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Buying, Marketing, and
Retail Operations to align VM initiatives with business goals.
Monitor and control visual merchandising budgets, ensuring cost efficiency without
compromising creativity and quality.
Analyze sales data, customer insights, and store performance to evaluate the
effectiveness of VM strategies and optimize accordingly.
Stay updated on global lifestyle, design, and retail trends to continuously innovate
and elevate store aesthetics.
Lead, mentor, and develop the VM team to ensure high performance and capability
building.
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Visual Communication, Retail Management, or a related field.
8–10 years of relevant experience in visual merchandising, with prior experience in a leadership role preferred.
Strong expertise in design tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW,
InDesign, or similar platforms.
Proficiency in MS Office tools.
Strong understanding of visual merchandising principles, retail trends, and best
practices.
Ability to interpret sales reports and translate insights into effective VM strategies.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.
Strong leadership capability with experience managing teams across multiple
locations.
